What is Sutekki-shin-jutsu?

 Sutekki means a normal ordinary walking stick.

Shin means new or modern.

Jutsu means a martial system, a ‘set’ of protective techniques.

But where ‘protective’ can and does mean ‘offensive’

 Sutekki-shin-jutsu is a set of Personal Protection techniques developed to allow the ordinary perhaps elderly man or woman to overturn a modern-day mugging or rape attempt. And emerge un-mugged, un-raped, un-harmed.

You and me, we do not have youth, health and vigour on our side

We [well, you anyway] are not vicious, nasty, pugnacious nor martially inclined.

We [well, you anyway] do not go looking for trouble.

But we [both you and me!] fully expect to face a confrontation on the street or around the house at anytime, day or night these days. The papers are full of such stories. I could report incident after incident. So could you.

Sutekki-shin-jutsu [and Jo-shin-jutsu] seek to give you a very good chance indeed of surviving such a confrontation. Of defeating and reducing an attacker to a state of misery and regret. Regret that he saw you as an easy helpless elderly target. As a mug waiting to be emptied of money and/or virtue. As easy meat!

But things can be different. Provided that

• You have courage and refuse to be a victim, and

• Have learnt an effective system of Personal Protection.

Sutekki-shin-jutsu is one such system.

There are others. Such as karate, ju-jutsu, aiki-jutsu, boxing and a host of other ‘systems’.

But they all have one grave disadvantage!

It takes perhaps five, six or more years to reach the level of skill where the techniques will happen automatically. That is, at about 4 th Dan Black Belt grade, This is too long to wait! You are 50, 60, 70 years or older. There is not the time nor the health-ability to take up such a formidable study. The muggers are out there now! The rapists are out there now! The gangs of youths are waiting for you now!
