Preface to Volume 2
Sutekki-shin-jutsu is an effective system for personal protection in a specific situation – when out walking with your walking stick. It can be learnt and understood in a few minutes.
But it will only work in an emergency if you have put in sufficient study and practice to make it work in that emergency.
It is written from the point of view of an elderly man or woman of perhaps 45 to 70 years of age. But of course it applies to anyone who is put under serious and possibly life threatening risk when walking with a walking stick – man, woman or teenager. In my opinion it offers a chance of survival in this grave situation.
I am not a lawyer. Consult a qualified one if you have any queries in this area. I do not accept responsibility for any consequences arising from the use you may make of the material given in this book. I offer my knowledge and views. What use you make of them is up to you. But remember, while it is legal to carry a walking stick for pleasure or physical aid, it is illegal to carry it as a weapon even though intended for your own personal self-defence.
When you’ve read and thought about this book, I would greatly value your comments, questions and suggestions so that I can improve it and make it even more relevant and useful. Your personal details will not be passed on to anyone.
